Sometimes you get so preoccupied with your own stuff that you just don’t know where else to go at all. This situation happened to me a couple of times before. I used to have a group of friends back then, we were four girls that used to do everything together. We all knew everybody’s secreted and flaws and would always keep things to ourselves. One thing different about us though is that the three of them were from well-off families and my family is of average status only. It made me feel bad because before when we use to share stuff, they never picked mine at all. But understood the reason why; my things were not as pretty as theirs. They can get expensive stuff all the time and I could not.
I really used to feel bad about the same. I told he she can have my shoes instead. And she obliged until I give her the real price of the shoes.
You have no idea what I would do if she found out that those shoes were fake. Even though we are friends, I still do not want her to find out about. I guess it’s a status thing too. But in the end, despite everything, I still accepted the money that the shoes were actually worth for. I still insisted for her not to pay me, but then I was young and did not know any better. Looking back at it now, I really wished that I did not accept it.
