Flat six-pack abs are the visible proof that someone is serious about health and fitness. A six-pack defines someone that is committed to a healthy lifestyle. Why? Because it takes serious commitment to get a six pack. Diet is the key to unveiling your abs. Workouts are not enough to deliver six pack abs.

Certainly you can increase your fitness level and strength by spending long hours in in the gym, but this does not mean your abs are going to make an appearance. It is your diet that will bring your abs out of hiding. Our nature is to store fat around our mid-section. Even worse. Fat is stored around your mid-section first and burned from there last. The only way to eliminate stubborn belly fat is through better nutrition.

Use Nutrition to Incinerate Fat

You need the right diet plan to help you obtain flat six pack abs which starts with understanding that certain foods should not be eaten. These foods include sugar, excessive fatty foods quick digesting cards and you should eliminate, alcohol.

Quick Start Nutritional Plan

It seems you could spend your life researching the best diet. Here are four quick start things you can do to improve your diet today.

1. Don’t eat processed foods and white carbs. Most white foods are not natural or are easily digested carbs which are quickly turned into fat.

2. By-pass fast food restaurants. This one’s easy. If you don’t have to get out of your car, then speed on by.

3. Reduce your portions. Cutting your portions in half is a good place to start. If you are a restaurant you can go even further and only eat a third of the portion.

4. Consume 4 to 6 meals a day.

There are many diet books filled with pages and pages of information. One will probably work for you. However, making these simple changes are enough to begin seeing great results right away.

Best Foods to Burn Fat

Some foods are better for us than others. That is clear. However, some foods are in the category of super-food because they are better for burning fat and are important to include in your quest for six pack abs. These foods come from the book, “Abs Diet” by the Editor-in-Chief of Men’s Health magazine, David Zinczenko. They include berries such as raspberries and blueberries, nuts, beans, spinach, dairy, instant oatmeal, lean protein such as turkey, eggs, peanut and almond butter, olive oil, whole grains, and extra protein powder.

Two from the list should be eaten at every meal. You will get even better results if you include more with each meal.

Planning – The Missing Ingredient

Losing weight is hard. Have you ever started a new program only to find your food choices were the wrong one’s. You can make it easier by planning ahead. Don’t find yourself hungry only to go to the pantry or refrigerator to find it empty of the right foods. Make a list of the foods you need to be successful and make sure you have a full stock of them. To combat sabotaging your program, go ahead and remove all sugars and processed food from your pantry. All your efforts can be totally wrecked by an empty ‘fridge or empty pantry.

Best Exercise for Fat Loss

Of course, diet alone will not help you get flat six packs abs. The best exercises will burn fat and build muscle including your abs. Interval training is one of the best ways to build muscle and burn fat. With interval training you will be doing alternate sets of high intensity and low intensity exercises. The treadmill offers a easy, fast way to get started with interval training. To perform treadmill interval training, perform a two to three minute warm-up at a fairly low intensity. Then increase the intensity to about 70% to 80% of your maximum effort for one minute. Next decrease the intensity to 10% to 30% of your maximum for two minutes. Repeat this cycle eight times. Perform this routine three times per week with at least one day of rest in between workouts.

The six pack abs you want are there. To bring them out combine a fat burning diet of super foods with interval training. And it wont be long before your fat is gone and your abs are visible. Then will you will start receiving compliments on your amazing abs.
