This will ensure that if a better deal, or a vehicle, is not available at least you will still have a means of transportation waiting.
Using this method will truly allow you to have the best of both worlds, the security of knowing that you will have a vehicle no matter what, but also the security of knowing that you have gotten the best possible price on your rental car.
Most companies take a reservation for an exact time of day, so if you know that you want to shop around when you get to your destination then set a later time than you will want. Most vehicles are available for a few hours before they are actually scheduled to be rented so usually you can pick up your car a few hours early if need be. Even if it isn’t ready when you arrive this is still better than the alternative of not having a vehicle at all when you get to where you are going.
Although saving money is important to everyone, it is more important that you have means of transportation for your vacation. So always be sure to have a vehicle rented on the side, before shopping around for a great deal.
